Focus MK3 Bluetooth song info

Featured Replies

Hi I have a 2013 titanium with Sony stereo (not nav) I was just wondering what module I need for the Bluetooth to show the track names ? Or if it's just a software update that's needed,

Any help appreciated

You will need the sync 1.1 module, however personally I'd spend a bit more and get a sync 3 conversion kit

2013 = SYNC 1.0

SYNC 1.0 does not support A2DP audio info. It also does not support software updates from USB. Software can only be updated by a Ford dealer. However, the support for SYNC 1.0 stopped in 2014 and the software update did not introduce new features like audio info.

Your current SYNC 1.0 APIM will have a part number that starts with AM5T.
The SYNC 1.1 APIM has a part number that starts with either D1BT or E1BT.

These days the SYNC 1.1 D1BT or E1BT APIM are quite easy to find for low prices. Be aware that after the module has been replaced it will most likely need to be configured correctly to match the configuration of the vehicle.
