Transit Custom Weird Chirping Noise Help

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have a 19 plate transit custom limited. I’ve noticed whenever it’s a cold start (after not being driven for a few hours at least) I have this chirping noise for around 5-10 minutes then it will fully disappear until the next cold start.

It’s a strange noise and seems to increase in sound and speed when revving the engine. I have replaced the alternator pulley and both auxiliary belts and I am now at a loss on what this is!

There are no warning lights and the van drives faultlessly every time and has had no issues. Noise seems like it’s coming from the left side of the engine when looking at it from the front (which is why I thought it was aux belts/pulley).

Link to noise below, any help is appreciated.
