Deep Boom at 2500 RPM

Featured Replies

Hi,

I’ve noticed a low booming noise at around 2500 rpm (mainly in gears 3–6) that gets a lot louder under full acceleration. It's a 2020 Focus EcoBoost 1.0L Titanium.

There’s also a slight rattle after blipping the throttle at idle, and when the noise happens I can feel a slight vibration through the floor and pedals.

My local Ford dealer has had a look over the last 2 days and didnt find a problem and drove another Focus that they had and said it has the same sound.

My friend has the exact same car but a ST-Line and they done have the same issue.

Any thoughts on what this might be and should i be concerned? Ive only had the car a couple of weeks so can still return to the dealer.
