It's the 2.2 diesel chain driven power unit

I doubt it's a chain driven 2.2 TDCI in a 2012 model.  The old chain driven Ford 2.2 was replaced by the belt driven PSA 2.2 around 2007 as far as I'm aware.

I have the same engine in my 2012 2.2 tdci 200bhp S-Max, it has a belt, I have replaced my belt and water pump, "get the cambelt kit with the tensioner & idler pully" its costs more but do the job properly! i think the kit and water pump cost me about about £150 + a good quality antifreeze; 5 litres for a 50/50% mix (down to about - 15c and some)

On my s-max it was a bit of a job because you have to take the front scuttle panel out and take starter motor out (or un bolt it and slide it to one side) to fit the locking pin in. when tightening the belt tension make sure the tensioner pointer sits in the v slot then take both the timing pins out and turn the crank a couple of times and recheck the tension. Depending on your skill level i would allow a day or 2 to do the job as its not an easy one to do
