MK2 battery light

Featured Replies

Hi all,

Over the last week the battery light has come up on the dash and then gone.

It did it when sat in slow moving traffic, but also did it later in the day while on the motorway between 60 and 70.

I got the battery and alternator levels checked and was told the alternator is fine, but the battery is the issue. Got a new battery and the light showed up quite a bit in an hours journey.

Came back today and it showed up a lot less, but still 3 times during the hours journey.

I've just got a OBD2 checker and it came back with this:

Am I right in thinking it just needs a new sensor, or more of an issue? When the shop checked the levels the Light wasn't showing on the dash at the time.
