Manual Transmission oil change required? 2019 1.0L

Featured Replies

Hi anyone changed the oil in their gearbox on a manual?  I cant find any info on this, hope its not life time oil thing.  Want to do mine as I have a whirring noise from 40mph + coming from that area (don't think its a wheel bearing feels solid up n down) while driving over 40mph  if I dip the clutch & go into neutral noise goes away, or could this be C.V. joint/drive shaft related?  Oil change seams cheapest thing to try first - think I have the part number of the Ford Oil, but cant find quantity or how to drain/fill it.  Any help appreciated.

Correct, it's sealed and intended to last the lifetime of the gearbox.

On the plus side there is no need to worry as the gearbox on your model doesn't last very long so it will need replaced before the oil does 🤣
