Clutch Problem

Featured Replies

Sons car, 16 plate 1L ecoboost, only once, wouldn’t shift in to neutral from first on parking despite having clutch all the way depressed, the engine was also revving and the car creeping slightly, I’m thinking clutch cylinders, but what do people think, it hasn’t done it before or since on long journeys so is there another way to check anything before I go spending money, I guess also I could get one cylinder done and it would be the other ?

Far cheaper and much easier to replace the clutch master cylinder first.

If you have to replace the slave cylinder then it's a gearbox out job, and that stage you would be crazy not to replace the clutch at the same time.
