Third Gear Problem

Featured Replies

Hello, I'm new to this and not very technical so please bare with me.

My 2001 ford fiesta flight (1.3) is causing me a headache. When I am driving and I put the car into 3rd gear it often slips out into neutral. I had my clutch replaced a couple of months ago, not sure if the 2 are connected. I am about to take it back to the garage but conscious they could rip me off for a new gear box as I have no clue about cars.

Whilst I have your attention my drivers side will also not unlock. It locks fine, but I cannot unlock it.

Any ideas for cheap fixes for both problems? Thanks!

Ive got the same problem with second gear but ive had no joy in getting it fixed and its been doing it for a year now
