Featured Replies

Anyone any ideas on how your supposed to replace the clutch master cylinder on a mk2 petrol focus. I manged to get it done but with some difficulties😂. Just curious as to what way they expect it to be done. Thanks

Take the gearbox off?

Master cylinder is at the clutch pedal not in the gearbox. Your thinking of slave cylinder

You're not 'meant' to do it at all.  Should last the lifetime of the car.  Not a consumable service item that Ford are expecting to replace regularly.

A ramp makes this job much easier.  Otherwise you're trying to squeeze into the footwell and slide under the car.  I have seen people do a full on headstand against the drivers seat to replace these on some cars.
