Heated washer jet query

Featured Replies

Me again 🙂

Been browsing the forum and came across people talking about heated washer jets from a ford focus being fitted, hmm i thought next logical project after the washer level sensor mod.

After looking and researching, looking for part numbers etc to do it i came across a photo of where to plug them in, i looked on my car ( right hand side of the scuttle panel ) and low and behold not only do i have the plug but i also have the complete wiring loom and it seems heated washer jets too!

Looking on the circuit diagram i have (MK8 2021+) theres no mention of this, only a picture at the very end showing the connectors and cables but absolutely nothing in the circuit.

I then looked at the 2016/17 diagrams and did find the circuit shown on there but not much info.

This brings me to the reason for my post, why does Ford not mention it in my printed MK8 manual, nor in my printed MK7 manual as its a great selling feature surely?

The Ford dealer also didn't list it on the spec sheet but it did list heated front/ rear/ door mirros and power fold but nothing about heated washer jets.

So my question is.... are they on all the time ( not had chance to put a meter on the connector yet ) or like the mirror heaters do they come on with the rear heated glass or maybe the front screen ?

Were they only fitted to cars with winter pack? (Mine had no heated seats or wheel)

Thanks all!!

When heated washer jets are fitted they normally come on with the heated windscreen. I don't know what pack they came in, my 2019 Fiesta Titanium X doesn't have them. If you put up your VIN we can check if they were part of the original spec or if someone has added them later.

Thanks for that, no need for VIN check they are OEM ford fitted, i bought it froma ford dealer and previous owner was local same as me so they won't have fitted them after, although he did ask ford to fit rear parking sensors so if they were done it was by ford.

Oh also forgot to say, I've confirmed with test meter that they do indeed come on with front heated screen. Going to see if our MK7 Titanium has them too as they aren't in the manual or on the original spec sheet
