Mk3.5 Cruise Control Fitting

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Had a search through of the forums but struggling to find definitive answers.

I've bought the module for CC for my MK3.5 (ST if that matters), fitted it to the existing steering wheel (inc. replacing the wiring inside the wheel - new module came with a new harness with more wires) and tried to program in in using ForScan. Through forscan I was able to enable it in the BCM and another module (but not the PCM - believe this is my issue). In forscan for the PCM I only get the option for "AS BUILT", not individual config items. Hunting around on the forums I can't seem to get a solid answer on if Forscan should be able to do this, and if so how. I see other users talking about something called UCDS to complete the procedure - if anyone has this available and would be willing for me to drive to them to program it in for a fee that could be an option? Failing that I'm going to start ringing round ford dealers to try and help me out, but don't expect much luck...

Is there anything i've missed or is it purely the PCM programming as I suspect? Is there a known person around still who can do it?

What cable are you using with forscan, if it's a non fully supported one, then not all the programming options actually show.

The VGate Vlinker FS, the one that say recommended by forscan bought from vgates store on Amazon - the PCM module does show up but only in the "as built" option

What version of forscan are you running and are you using the full extended license or just the free trial?

NVM - bottomed it out, I had a cruise button cluster with limiter but didn't enable ASL in the BCM. Enabling that and touching nothing else brought it all to life.
