Forward alert not available error

Featured Replies

Hi all

I hope you can help? I’ve been asked to sell a friends car as they are unwell and unable to drive. It’s a MK3 Focus estate 2.0 diesel.

The vehicle is throwing an error message on the dash saying that ‘forward alert not available’. It’s not producing any error codes that I can see relating to this.

Wondered if anyone had a similar issue and how they rectified it. Radar is clear as are the sensors on the windscreen. There’s some lower bumper damage so wonder if the radar has been damaged, but it looks visibly fine.

Want to resolve it before trying to sell it.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Is the vehicle battery in good health and fully charged ?

Using the Carly OBD reader he’d left in the car.

Carly is at best just an expensive toy, and at worst a total rip-off.

It is poor at reading Ford specific DTC's. Use FORScan to get all of the true Ford codes.

Thanks will give that a go.

My Land Rover lacks an ECU so no need for a diagnostics tool usually 😂

Battery is fully charged and new so no issues with that.
