My grandsons plays his music through an adaptor plugged into the cigarette lighter socket on his 60 plate Fiesta..i have replaced the socket due to rust problems..now there is no power to the new socket...i have had test meter on to wires with no power at all..the fuse is ok..number 22, 20amp..any advice to solve this problem will be appreciated..

    I would remove new socket and check for power at wiring plug, new plug could be faulty

    According to fuse diagram..fuse number 22 in the fuse box behind glove compartment....it also powers phone hook up next to cigarette plug...the phone charger socket has power to it..

    It should be fuse 29 15Amp

    This is fuse box set up in my grandsons Fiesta...have looked at all fuses this morning and all are fine

    Have you checked fuses with multi meter, I had a fault a while back and the fuse looked fine but failed a multimeter test

    I have tried numerous fuses all with out any joy...

    The only option left now is a broken wire.  You will have to test each one from the lighter plug back to the multiplugs on the fuseboxes.
