Fiesta Help?

Featured Replies

I've got an 2005 FORD FIESTA STUDIO 1.25 and it needs the water pump changing due to a coolant leak. How much should this cost at a garage? Also it has done 43K miles and when would you normally change the cambelt on this.

Thanks

expect to pay around 2hours labour, plus maybe 60-80 quid parts if you get a new drive belt too

a water pump on this will require a new cam belt, expect to pay around 4 hours labour plus parts

is it cam driven on this model? i thought i was a seperate.. autodata seems to indicate this too, none of the pumps on ebay appear to be cam driven either.

I'm pretty sure that the water pump is driven by aux belt on the 1.25 engine. I think that the timing belt cover needs removing to get to the pump, not the timing belt.
