Ecoblue oil filter

Featured Replies

I plan a oil change at the weekend on my 2022 1.5litre Ecoblue diesel , the oil filter is housed on the righthand side near the air box , does anyone know what socket size it is

thanks Shaun

I believe it's either a 22 or a 24mm but I could be wrong on that

Very useful...

Seriously though, OP should just measure it.  I recently did an oil change on my Golf.  Didn't want to carry the whole socket set downstairs just for the filter cap so double checked with a tape measure before taking just one socket down.  Good job I did as I'd misremembered by 2mm and would have taken the wrong socket down first time.

Personally i have a socket rail that goes from 20mm to 32mm and I just take that to the car (most of the time the correct socket is still on the rail...)

Fair point.  Though if the OP has a rail like that then I doubt they'd waste time posting the question on here.  I assume they either have a large selection and want to narrow that down, or don't have anything big enough and will need to buy a socket in the correct size.

(As it happens, your rail range is just suitable for my Golf. )
