Aftermarket screen for 2021 fiesta ST Line

Featured Replies

Hi, has anybody seen any available or fitted one? I see there are nice screens for older models but nothing to replace the newer model?

Hi, nothing at all?!

The Mk8 Fiesta already has a screen fitted above the dash.  What would be the reason for replacing it?

I was wondering that. The earlier Mk 7/7.5 units as shown were complete replacements of the audio unit to provide additional functionality (and a bigger screen).

Some of the early Mk 8s had smaller screens as below, but the later ones (certainly on an ST-LIne) were all the larger (8") size.

Sorry thought that was obvious, to have a better looking, bigger screen? As per attached the older fiesta can now have a better screen than the later model

Better looking must be personal preference.  That looks awful to me.  Each to their own I guess.

So, basically you want an even bigger screen than 8" ? Never seen anything advertised/mentioned.

These things are very much personal opinion. I liked the set up in the 8V series Audi A3. At a press of a button it retracted into the dash and out of view altogether so you could drive without distraction.

Back to the Fiesta, given that some folk do seem to like having the equivalent of a widescreen tv sat on their dash, it does seem odd that no-one has come out with an alternative. There are loads around for various cars but I've never seen anything for the Mk 8.

Mk4 Focus facelift came with an enormous screen (13.2"?) and Sync 4.  Someone must have tried to fit that to a Mk8 Fiesta by now.

Probably lose the start button and half the rev counter though...

Hi, that is exactly what I thought, I'm sure there is a market for them

Yes, I thought about that as well. But it does away with most of the physical buttons and puts them on the screen, so I guess that would be an extra complication. You would have thought someone might have had a go, but if they had I'm sure there'd be a post somewhere.

Just had another search around to pass the time while I was waiting for someone to call me back.

There are lots of ads on EBay and the like for screen upgrades but they all turned out to be just for upgrading the smaller OEM screens (4" or 6 .5") to the 8" version, as my earlier post.

Just ditch the Fiesta ST Line MHEV, and get a used Tesla you're already half way there.

Rumour has it they come with a 20" screen, surround sound and a popcorn making machine in the armrest. 🤣

Very effective heating as well!

My experience with those units the op has put a picture of in the original post, they are rubbish. Also even if you could fit one to a mk8 fiesta (which you can't and shouldn't want to) they put the screen too far away from the driver to actually use safely, they are buggy and rubbish. The 8inch sync3 screen in the mk8s/ retrofitting those to the early mk8s that had a slightly smaller screen are perfectly adequate, the MK4 focus has the same screen and they are fine. From what I have seen, the sync 4 larger screen is a pointless mod and costs far more than the value it adds to the driving experience can justify, also the later MK4 focuses that came with them in my opinion made them look cheap and probably have the same usability annoyances that my old Peugeot had with it's on-screen only AC controls.
