So my my 2009 titanium 1.6 fiesta has a problem among others. 
 

when the blower is on it’s working and air comes out the vents.  But when you turn it up there is no kick / pressure behind it the air flow does not increase. The sound of the motor increases though.

now tho. 2nd to third is stiff like it won’t go into 3rd but if you try 4th that’s stiff too. If you come down the box from 5th to 4th to 3rd it all works good.  
 

my question is could I have knocked the gear selectors slightly by a turn on the thread ? Would this make a difference?

so I hadn’t actually checked this.  When parked engine off it still doesn’t go into gear sometimes so my initial thought of the synchromesh cannot be true and it seams I need to adjust the selector 

 

If the motor noise increases then there's a blockage in the system.  Check the cabin filter and the intake under the scuttle.

It’s kinda sorted it self out.  It drives like normal now.  I turned the one gear selector one turn and it wouldn’t go in 1st. So I turned it back and it was sorted.  I haven’t had any problems with the 3rd gear since.
