Ecoboost Oil in wiring loom.

Featured Replies

2019,1.0 fiesta ecoboost,    Oil in loom at VVT solenoid plugs and Cat O2 sensors.

Car was running rough, cleaned the oil out, ran well for months, but the oil is back, so got to find the source.

Has anyone found out where the oil is entering the loom,,,  ? Or is it start the part swap game.

Thanks

VCT solenoids contain high pressure oil.  Those are the most likely point for oil to get forced through the plugs into the loom.

It's a common issue, the only fix is new vct solenoids and loom as once there is oil in a loom, you cannot remove it as it wicks through all the copper.
