We're having issues with Carplay and Android Auto using a USB cable.  Sometimes it won't connect until the next day - we've tried a different cable, using the 2nd USB port, resetting the phone but nothing works.

I have an iPhone and the wife has an Android - it's normally issues with her Android.

I checked the Ford UK site and there's an upgrade available (no details on what it fixes, or when it was released)

SYNC Version - 3.4.19200
Update Available - 3.4.23188

It's pretty simple to install - copy the files (3gb) to a USB drive, and then insert it and it should install over 35 mins.

BUT - I've never done this before and don't want to cause more issues.

Has anyone installed this Update?

    Yes, I have been using version 3.4.23188 on two cars for 4 months without any problems.

    Likewise I have version 3.4.23188 on both my cars. Not had any problems, the update(s) was done automatically via WiFi.
