Mass Air Flow sensor issue, do i need to replace it?

Featured Replies

Hello, i am new here i am just looking for some advice.

is a couple of months that the engine light is coming up on/off on my ford fiesta 1.0 ecoboost 2014, i have conected the car to forscan and i get the following codes.Screenshot2025-10-22165311.thumb.png.5ee7fc206b9d0ef15e37d5589fb361be.pngScreenshot2025-10-22165328.thumb.png.e8871a2b47f09ff3624ae33af020f63a.pngScreenshot2025-10-22165337.thumb.png.9e6eb007e59284c222c542a1f0c139ee.png

now i have cleaned the MAf sensor and it did not solve the issue.

Is this an issue of the MAf sensor/ wiring or could be possibly an intake leak that i need to investigate before replacing the sensor???

thansk you in advance for your help!

Hi,

This looks like a wiring fault.  In fact it looks like the sensor is unplugged!

Sensors do sometimes fail this badly, but it's more likely to be a wiring fault.

Not a physical air leak with those codes.

Just an update. In the end was a bad battery! I have just replaced it and everything is now fine!

Thanks
