Central locking

Featured Replies

Hi,

I have a transit custom 64 plate, the central locking won't lock doors with key fob, the indicators flash and horn sorns when pressing lock button but no doors lock and pressing unlock indicators flash, tried both keys but same happens, cleaned metal sensors on side door but still same, any idea someone.

Cheers

Paul.

It won't lock if it thinks one of the doors or the bonnet is open.

Have you got the warning light on the instrument cluster for 'door open' ?

Has this fault just happened, or have you just got the van ?

Hi Unofix,

There's no warning light on and I've had the van a few years, only happened today after I opened the van then it wouldn't lock, not sure if this could be a battery fob issue but they were both replaced about 1 year ago.

The Van thinks one of the doors is open.

You need to use FORScan to see which door or bonnet switch is in the open state.

It's what many Ford owners use including some Ford technicians.
