Nav screen upside down

Featured Replies

Hi, just inherited a 2017 Fiesta Zetec. It has a screen with built in sat nav. Everything on the screen (maps, menus, radio info etc) is upside down!

Have done a reset from the menu on the unit and disconnected the battery for half hour, neither made any difference. Car has no fault codes stored for anything. Anyone seen this before, any ideas on anything else I can try?

Many thanks.

Sounds like you have an Australian import 🤣 🎉

Has the screen been replaced ?

OR

Use FORScan and have a look to see if there is an option to invert the screen.

Is this a late Mk7?  It might be possible to install the screen upside down on those.  They just have 4 screws iirc.

Not possible for Mk8 though.

No the screen cannot go in the other way around. It's got me stumped 😖

No I don't think the screen has been replaced. It is very odd indeed.

Which Mk is it?

I was intrigued by this and a quick search brought up similar posts on various makes forums (including MG and Hyundai) as well as Ford. Most didn't seem to post a resolution, but disconnecting the battery for 30 mins or so seems to have been successful in a few cases.

On Fords with Sync 3 or later (e.g. Fiesta Mk 8 but the OP hasn't confirmed what it is) a soft reboot or system reset seems to have worked. This thread from the US for example:
