Fiesta Mk8: Jack pad placement

I'll need to lift the car with a jack and I am wondering how to place the jack pad exactly.

At the Mk7 it was perfectly clear because there were two "ridges" and the slotted pad went in between.

How should I place it at the mk8?

Is it ok if the ridge is at the center of the pad?

I also attach a picture of how it looks.

    I really do not have an answer, and I'm surprised you havn't had one yet. Best advice I can give you is to not use anything that's painted and stick to horizontal suspension parts.

    The strongest part is to the right of that ridge, where you can see the seem opens up slightly.  That's where the emergency jack is meant to fit.  It wasn't really designed for a jack pad and as they come in different sizes you just have to do the best you can to get it central on the strengthened part, making sure it's not accidentally catching any non-strengthened part that's liable to bend.

    Yes, I got one of those and it was the first time I used it, thus my question.

    Just lifted it right from that ridge. All good 👍
