Focus MK3 ABS Light Flashing through Hard Cornering

Featured Replies

Hi all, I wanted to see if anyone else has noticed this in the MK3 or could shed some light on why it’s happening.

I had Traction Control off and my foot was nowhere near the Brake pedal, but this happened mid corner with the back end stepping out slightly so not sure if It’s some kind of Stability control system etc.

Cheers

In the MK3, you can't fully turn off traction control.

One of the ABS wheel speed sensors is starting to fail.

If you use FORScan you will most probably be able to see which sensor triggered the warning light.

Could be, but with a loss of traction in a wheel, I'd err on the side of the traction control system not being fully disabled (which unless you have a st, is normal)
