All tyre pressures suddenly reading "---"

Featured Replies

Morning,

My Focus MK4 has just displayed a tyre pressure sensor malfunction warning and all 4 pressures now read "---".  It's obviously extremely unlikely that all 4 sensors have simultaneously failed - must be something in the car, not the wheels.  If you use the menu to re-store you get 4 values displayed again but the warning + "---" reappears after about 20 minutes of driving.  No changes to the car have been made/no new accessories added.  They all displayed perfectly with no troubles before this happened.

Has anyone seen this/know of a fix?

Thanks - Paul.

Low battery on your sensors, I had a similar thing on my MK3.5. chances are they are all the same age and so would have all gone low about the same time.

I have no previous knowledge of the Ford Focuk MK4, but if it's anything like a Focus then it would seem that the TPMS sensors have failed 😉

I did have one fail on my 2019 Focus when it was about 3 years old, although they generally last between 7 and 10 years.

The batteries in all 4 of your 2015 cars wheels will be at the end of there life, so you may as well replace them all and do the job just once.

You programme them once they have been fitted and the wheels are back on the car.
