Mk 7 Locking Question

Featured Replies

I have owned a Mk 7 Titanium for 4 months and loving it so far (car is 09 plate and just over a year old.)

My question relates to the standard key + key fob button locking system.

I have noticed that if I double lock the car (deadlock) by pushing the lock button twice then I cannot unlock the car by using the key in the door lock.

If I only single lock the car (one button push) then I can unlock using the key.

Is this normal or do I have a locking problem?

Any advice appreciated!

Have you tried turning the top of the key towards the rear of the vehicle twice within 3 seconds?

To my knowledge, the double click of the key fob dead locks the doors... I may be corrected, but that's my suggestion :)

Once the car is deadlocked the key will not unlock it no matter what I try... Only way to unlock is with the fob again.
