Hiya,

I’ve got a Ford focus MK4 (2018 1.0 ecoboost) and over the last few weeks have noticed a  change in my touchscreen panel in the car. Whether on CarPlay or as it comes (see attached photos) only the left side seems to go all distorted for no reason? It comes and goes throughout journeys and doesn’t appear to have any patterns. 
Any ideas as to what I can do about this? Thanks

    Faulty screen I'd say.

    You could try disconnecting the battery negative cable for a minimum of 10 minutes and see if it goes away, but I doubt it

    I'd also check the plug in the back of the unit to make sure it's clean and tight without any loose pins.  But chances are it will need a new screen.

    In the first image it's interesting that it's only the map outline that's pixellated. All the text and the playing controls are perfectly sharp.

    Maybe not the screen? It looks more like it's getting a very low-res background image.

    Looks like a screen or APIM failure, either the screen is failing, or the image processing unit in the APIM has started to break.
