Zetec 2017 intermittent clutch issue - help!

Featured Replies

My son driving his car this week couldn't get it in to gear, clutch would be 'floppy'.  Turned car off and on, drives ok for a bit then clutch freezes and sticks downwards and won't go in to gear.  Feels like it seems to reset when turns car off but eventually couldnt drive it at all.  Towed to garage who can't find a fault, can't re-create fault.  Fluids etc all ok, no leaking.  My son is tall and tends to drive with foot over clutch, he says he doesnt ride the clutch but could there be some safety sensor kicking in?  I had to have it towed to the seller (bought this car 3 weeks ago) in London (£300) so loathed to have it leave garage with no answers. What else could it be?  Any help greatly appreciated for this clueless Mum!!
