P0016 & P0017 ford fiesta 1.6 ti-vct

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I have P0016 and P0017 fault codes coming up on my 2011 fiesta

It starts and runs fine,

If I delete the codes and start it right after they won't come up again until after I shut the engine off and start it again.

I read it could be a problem with the oil so I changed the engine oil and put in the advice oil for this engine

I don't think it could be the wet belt deteriorating and cloging the oil pump as it has driven just over 10k kilometers since it was changed

Could it be the sensors or the actuators

Or could it be possible that the belt is deteriorating after just 10 thousand kilometers (maybe if they put the wrong oil in🤷‍♂️)

It's got 157000 kilometers by the way

Bought it 3 months ago with 152000

Hi,

1.6 Ti-VCT does not use a wetbelt.
