Sill jacking points.

Featured Replies

Morning all, I need to jack our Mk6 up but am not that happy about using the standard factory jack.

I do have a trolley jack but am not confident about placement, both front and rear.

I have seen some rubbers which can go on the trolley jack and then the car can be jacked from the factory points. This is my preferred choice.

Has anyone used the rubber adapters and if so can you recommend which ones?

Thanks a lot,

Mike.

Follow the marks on the sills and jack up using the trolley jack at those points, it'll be fine

For my old Hilka trolley jacks I cut up an old flip flop....... but also use some substantial ply as load spreaders

Good idea, thank you. Our trolley jack is a proper old one. So the flip flop type material will be spot on.
