Sync playing up after using iPod

Featured Replies

I have a strange issue! I have a 2015 fiesta and have previously had no issues synching my phone up and streaming music from Spotify or Apple Music. Last week I went on a long journey and connected my iPod up via a usb cable as it’s got more songs on it. However since returning my streaming services aren’t working properly anymore; the main issue is the buttons on the steering wheel are no longer responding to skip songs and I can’t answer any incoming calls which I normally do by pressing the steering wheel buttons. The buttons themselves are fine when I use the car radio, they skip between stations and the volume works. But when syncing music on the phone although the volume buttons still work I can’t skip tracks, if I try it speeds the music up instead! I’ve unpaired and re-paired the car and phone several times and tried plugging the iPod back in to see if it jolts the system but no luck. I have no idea why it’s doing this and it’s a pain in the *****. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!!

If you still have the ipod connected, disconnect it.

Only use a USB stick with MP3 files on

Thank you DaveT70, the iPod wasn’t connected but last night I tried connecting it again and messed about unpairing and repairing my phone with the car and lo and behold it’s back to normal now! Everything seems back to normal thankfully, the iPod must’ve jumbled the Bluetooth up so I’ll bare that in mind next time I use the in the car but won’t be for a long while. 👍
