Fiesta MK3 - Remote Locking

Featured Replies

Good afternoon, I would like to know if anyone can help me.
I have a 1990 Ford Fiesta MK3 and I would like to install a remote central locking system.
My car already has central locking and an electric trunk release.

But I'm having trouble making the connections, can anyone explain how to do it to me?

Thank you and happy holidays.

I asked a similar question on here a few months back Daniel, sorry to say, I think this site sucks. My guess is there are too many racer boy types that know nothing. My advice, like I had to do, was find a local auto electrician and go see them. A phone call is generally dismissed, a personal visit is much more productive. Good luck.

That's very interesting. Having just read through all of your posts and the replies, l'm disappointed by your unjustified and unfounded remarks. Perhaps you would be better to stick to reading Womens Own. 👍

Hmmm  Being in my seventies, I do not consider myself, or most of the suppliers of knowledge that may be imparted on this forum to be one either.  A large proportion of queries on this forum are for relatively young cars, so that is where most of the expertise lies.  Highly unlikely that anybody on this forum would have tried to carry out this mod.   I have a car that is 35 year old technology, probably older than most of the posters, so no point asking here!!!

My advice to the op would be "What parts are you using, and from where are they sourced ?" and to search out a forum/club for that era of Fiesta.  Unfortunately a couple have not been updated for some years.

Any Sierra questions that come up on here, I generally refer to the XROC, as a lot of knowledge there for such old cars !

@scf You need to keep up to speed !

That response was to 'terryblackburn' hence why I quoted his post.

My post was made 4 hours ago, your bizarre rantings (all 3 of them) were posted two hours after my reply. You hadn't even posted in this thread at the time I made my comment.

Are you posting in the wrong thread by chance ?
