Dpf

Featured Replies

hi i have a ford focus tdci sport 2006 model and i have been told by my dealer that the dpf needs replacing due to being faulty

i have been quoted £1300 for this to be done ???

my warranty apparantly does not cover this as they say it is a servicable item at 75000 miles

but my warranty says it covers catalysts

is this not classes as a catalyst and can someone explain what i have do i have a diesal particulate filter or is this the same as a cat

does a diesal car have a cat or both

warranty will not cover an item if it is deemed to have been used for its service life, e.g if your discs wear down they wont be covered, but if they warp after 200 miles from the car being new, they will be covered.

the diesel particulate filters contain a catalyst within them, but as you say, there service life is 75000 miles

short and tall of this, you will be responsible, not ford motor company
