Can You Fit 18" Alloys To Fiesta Titanium

Featured Replies

Good morning all,

Does anyone know if 18" aftermarket alloys can be fitted to the new shape Fiesta Titanium without the need of any modifications to the arches?

I'm planning on fitting KW coilovers which will lower the car but I wont reduce it any more than 30mm.

By the way is the new shape Fiesta Titanium known as a mark 7 or mark 8?

Thank you

P.S. could you be kind enough to cc your reply to my private email address [email protected]

Yes, my friend have a 18" set on his 2010 Zs with 215/35 tyres.

Will go on but watch the offset as a lower offset will result in problems when you come to lower where the tyre will rub on the arch. At the same time you'll want them to look nicely spaced.

This is H&R's Fiesta. It's on OZ SuperTurismo GT 18x7 et48 with 215/35/18 tires.

Looks like they are barely tucked and I doubt they rub. Their coilover on the fiasta is very stiff and with the 35's....even more so. I considered going to 18's, but honestly, that is approaching being too big for this car. If you want a lowered look, this is kinda going in the opposite direction. I run rubberband tires (35's) on my bimmer and you can easily damage your rims with such low profile tires. I drive that car very carefully and the area I live at has very good roads.....and I still dinged it twice going over a curb that if I had 40's, rims would not have gotten damaged. Still...my next set of tires for my 17" rims might just be 35 series. Love the look, kinda like wagon wheels.

The brakes look tiny with 18's as well!

Good Afternoon All

Many thanks for the various comments and suggestions, I think I'm gonna stick to a set of 17' alloys and a set of coilovers with a drop of no more than 30m. I'm now struggling to get alloys that I like as the ones I like only come in 17x8 where as I've been told I need 17x7 with an offest of no less than et40.

Regarding coilovers I'm gonna save for a set of KW variant 2 but these are a little pricey, if anyone knows of another brand that allows me to adjust the ride as well as the height please let me know.

Also, I'm still deciding between Pumaspeed's Miltek exhaust and Pumabuild's Piper - which one is better? I do like Miltek's new dual exhaust that only recently came out.

Is anyone aware of uprated bushes being available for the Mk7 and strut braces?

Finally, does anyone know if a rear disc conversion is possible on a Mk7 (2009 model)

I've finally put down a deposit on a Zetec 1.6, should be picking it up on Sunday from Evan's Halshaw.

P.S. Is the new Fiesta 2009 shape known as a Mk7 or mk8? PumaSpeed class it as a mk7 where as on Ebay sellers class it as a mk8.

It's a MK7.

can I put 14 inch wheels on my titanium will this be ok

Yes u can with a big tyre

175/65r14 will this be ok

The standard 40 profile tyres are bad enough on the 17" wheels if the roads are bad. 35 would shatter my teeth near me, so I'm thinking of going 45 profile.

175/65r14 will this be ok

Yes, except for the ST version you can go for 175/65 R14 tyres on a Mk7. :)
