Mk7.5 Gauge cluster swap

Featured Replies

Hi there,

I was wondering if I would have any issues swapping in an ST spec gauge cluster in to my mk7.5 fiesta as well I have noticed that I am now able to max the speedo past 130mph on the stock speedo, would it be possible to swap in the ST speedo that reads to 160mph and would there be any issues with the millage on the vehicle showing different and things not working.

I've seen a few posts in the past on other forums on swapping Mk 7.5 clusters and believe there is an issue with immobiliser data in the clusters preventing a straight swap. There are ads on EBay and elsewhere from firms claiming they can sort this, eg:

I've seen some people mention using Forscan to clone the milage off the old gauge cluster or change the milage on the new gauge cluster but I have A no idea how to do that and B have no idea how much it would cost. Also with that particular company would I have to send them my cluster and the new one or send them the replacement cluster and tell them what the milage is meant to be.
