My American Uncle called me yesterday on WattsApp to have a seasonal chat, lovely yo catch up with him. He then said he was going to phone his older sister (my mum in late 80s), to have a chat too. A couple of minutes later, he called me back to say he couldn't. Sadly on 'improving' his broadband recently, he was talked into releasing his landline over over 50 years of age. He now only has WattsApp to speak to people.

So, after 100+ years where the telephone was an ideal talking medium, he has now found himself with no way to speak to his  transatlantic sister.

Isn't technology wonderful 😁 I've always advocated that the older generation are f**ked when tech improves...
