Temu impact driver

Featured Replies

Hi Guys. Anyone purchased the above? They are dirt cheap but do they work OK?

Temu is the last place I'd buy anything. No matter how cheap it is.

Most likely comes shipped from china regardless of what the origin country says, and possibly falsified / non existent safety testing.

Sadly a lot of Temu stuff ends up being resold on eBay by UK sellers. So you can't trust eBay items to be safe & good quality either, and they'll be much more expensive for the same thing.

Personally I wouldn't trust a battery/motor/sockets from Temu due to the risk of injury.  Each to their own though.

I've bought some, non electrical I admit, stuff from Temu and AliExpress etc and was pleasantly surprised as to the quality of the stuff.

90% of what we buy nowadays is made in China anyway 😀

We've had both electrical and non electrical stuff from temu it is hit n miss as to weather its any good or not .. it's hard to imagine how far back stuff has actually been produced in China, if its a safety plus brand l think it is or blue plastic shell don't bother you'll have about 3 minutes use before the battery gives out l got the battery grinder. At least 30 mins would be good but you won't even get that..  I did consider the.. rust remover / laser cutter / welder then l thought to myself 😂😂😂 yeah right..

The problem isn't so much being made in China, it's about whether it was made in the lower quality factories and without any European testing.

Some Chinese built items are decent, many of the components used in European items do come from China, but they have to meet specific safety criteria to be sold in the UK which should mean anything bought over here would be of a minimum quality standard.  Items bought from Temu don't need to pass any standards at all.

That is a pretty correct comment Tom. If you open up say Hitachi n that they never made there own chips n such it was always Sony of the like who brand name would be stamped on it. Bush 1 of the well known brands in the uk is another that uses big brands parts but there made just to minimum standard ( because why would you sell them the good stuff that can compete or outdo you for less ) for passing hence why you'll be lucky if they last for a long time.
