Welcome!
Interested to know price, effectiveness and before and after photos of the "carbon clean" and what is covered?

I'm getting it done for free through the garage I bought the car from, it's still got 11 month warranty too, I will be getting bore cam in when I get it back to ensure cleaned out properly if not ill take air intake manifold off and clean it myself. I wont get before and after pics as garage have it now and I didn't strip it prior to it going in

I'm surprised they are doing all of this (expensive) work without you explaining why this is necessary?
Obviously wet belt/water pump is critical and should be done if required or if no record.

I'm definitely not going to argue over them doing it all, saves me a load of work 😁 will be getting a full deep investigation when I get it back to ensure everything bang on

Suggest Forscan to check for fault codes and all things beyond.

I'm a nasty suspicious person where garages offering to do work for nowt is concerned but maybe that's just me!

What is the mileage and service history, is it due a belt change (probably always due one😉)?
You seem very confident that dealer will simply roll over and do whatever you want after you have already bought it - Good Luck!
Do let us know how you get on (the picture doesn't seem to be a video and, to me, the belt condition isn't easily observable)

There's obviously more to this than we're being told.

Can't tell anything at all from that poor quality picture.  Wetbelts don't really fray like dry belts so I'm not even sure that's what we're seeing there.

As the car is 10 years old, the belt is due anyway.  Unless there's reliable proof of it already having been done.

Milage is 75k no service history at all, I bought it last month and that was pic from garage doing it, I will post updates as I go along with it.

Yeh the garage thought they was having me over but with a few things I found on the car etc I now got them over a barrel, both wet belts and sump strainer and oil ways, turbo knackered so replacing that aswell, I asked for carbon clean but not really bothered if they do that as will just do it myself, I was going to do all the work myself but they offered so I'm not refusing at their cost 🤣 this will be last time it goes in a garage for anything other than an mot lol

I hope you get a quality job on all of that as garages IMHO will do the bare minimum if they can get away with it although it may be better these days than adding sawdust to the gearbox or diff! 😉

They must of course meet current consumer law if there is a problem:
