Can I fit a new freeeze plug to my 2003 1.4 petrol. As the old one has come out.

Yes.

Can I do it without removing the engine.

Yes, if there's enough space around it.  Which specific plug is it?  On these it's usually the head plugs between the spark plugs that fail.  But I'm guessing yours is somewhere less accessible if you're asking about engine removal?

Ok, it looks like there's only one block plug on these.  It's around the back of the engine but I think you should be able to replace it without removing anything.  35mm diameter.

Thanks for the info. it is the one in the block. I have seen rubber plugs with a bolt going through to tighten and seal. Could I use one of these.

I've never used one myself.  They are only meant as a temporary bodge.  Not sure I'd trust one long term.  It's your car and your choice though.
