Passenger door mechanism

Featured Replies

Need some help with the passenger door mechanism.

Pretty much the passenger door mechanism broke a few months ago (wasnt my van then) and now i own the van i sort want to get this fixed. When you close the door it doesnt lock in place, it just swings open again. Its a 2014 transit custom.

Problem im having is it was all taken apart a while ago and i dont know what parts i need. I found a few on ebay but not 100% they are what i need.

If anyone had this issue or know whats parts i need etc, any help would be appreciated.

Problem with door latches are there are several options for different levels of security, deadlocks, etc. The best option is to get the part number from the one on your van, that's more reliable than guessing from the parts catalogues. I know it's a pain having to strip it all down again.
