Hi all. My 14 plate Fiesta had an MOT advisory on the subframe being corroded but not significantly structurally reduced. This was done last August. I'm thinking of driving the car on ramps, and wire brushing the subframe and then applying some black hammerite paint on it. I plan on doing this in May (few months before next MOT. Would this be advisable to do?. I'm not trying to clag the subframe with paint to hide the corrosion, but I'm trying to stop the corrosion advancing. If it were to fail the next MOT, I'm thinking of changing the subframe. Is this a straightforward to do?. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
