Earthing issues 2007 Fiesta Zetec

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I have a 2007 ford fiesta zetec which has not been driven much since i have purchased it, when i have gone to drive it recently it appears to struggle to start or sometimes doesnt start at all.

My step father was a mechanic for sub 20 years and after he's looked at it and tested the battery/alternator/starter motor which all are fine he's convinced the issue will be electrical, as he wasn't an auto electrician he said it's best i take it to someone who can get the issue resolved but before i do that i thought i'd as here. I have read on here and other places that earthing issues are a common problem with these cars.

Any advice on what the potential issue is/ a fix would be greatly appreciated so i can get the thing back and running as usual and get it sold!

Thanks :)

I'd stick a new battery on it first
