2016 powershift oil change

Featured Replies

I have a 2016 auto and am getting mixed messages from different garages / mechanics as to if I need to change the oil in my auto gearbox (powershift) it's done 54k, FSH, but no record of previous oil change that I can see. No issues at all. Do I change it now or wait until later?

If it's a diesel 2016 Kuga it'll be Powershift with wet clutch, so gearbox oil should be changed every 3 years.

Or 36,000 miles, whichever is sooner

Agree, needs doing ASAP and then time or mileage based.
There are others available but I've used this for the last 4 changes:

And rip the filter apart to check for debris (plastics). The element should IMHO just be grey paste.

And Welcome, of course!

It's a KUGA TITANIUM X SPORT TDCI 180 4X4 if it helps at all.

I think you have the information from the posts above, and whatever the mixed messages are from mechanics who don't own the car like you do from "Don't bother, it never needs changing" to " Change it yesterday and don't drive it until it's done", if it's a Powershift with no record I suggest it needs changing!

If you are keeping it and want to try to avoid trouble, Just Change It!
Do you get my drift (or feel free to ignore)!
Do let us know what you decide and why..
