Random traction control light

Featured Replies

I have a 2010 Mk 1 Kuga 2.0 tdci which has developed a habit of occasionally illuminating the traction control light on left hand turns which in turn reduces the power on the car until the steering angle returns to straight ahead.

I had four new tyres fitted recently as the rear two were the wrong ratio . Also at the same time I had the tracking adjusted as I was trying to improve the straight road experience ( it feels nervous and appears to wander ).

Ever since then it's started to throw the light up.

Does something need to be reset ?

Appreciate any ideas no matter how random.

I would start by checking the front ABS sensors. It should be a sheathed cable going into the rear of each hub.

Confirm it is secure in the hub and not damaged.

I changed both front sensors and I've not had the problem since.

Thanks for the suggestion.
