    no but from what i have read it can cause other issues, one is low MPG, and Ive only been getting 40mpg motorway driving

    You've read wrong.

    HVAC does not affect running.

    That's just a dummy code, if it doesn't clear ignore it

    Other mechanical issues, poor servicing or shoe sizes are causing your poor MPG figures
