Windscreen Washers

Featured Replies

My front windscreen have stopped working after topping up from almost empty. The headland washers are still powerful as is the rear window washer so nothing amiss with the motor. There are three jets and all have stopped. Your help please.

Can you hear the motor when pressing the front screenwash?

If yes, there's likely to be a blockage in the pipework, you'll have to start pulling off pipes until you find the clogged one.

If no, then that suggests maybe an electrical issue. As you say the same pump is used for front and rear so shouldn't be a pump fault if rears are still working.

I had to replace all my jets, they seem to be very susceptible to blockages.

Personally, I would remove underside bonnet liner, disconnect each in turn from its pipe (just a push fit connector) then test and check fluid is getting to the connector, if it is must be blocked jets.

They are impossible to clear, need new ones if block.
