What is this bracket for (on Lidl drill...)

Treated myself to a new cordless drill this week. It's fitted with a really sturdy bracket attached to it, but I've no idea what it's for - no mention, or even photo of it in instruction manual. Anyone know what it's designed for?

    That's a belt clip.

    It allows you to hang the drill (upside down) from your tool belt while climbing a ladder with two hands.

    Personally I have enough trouble keeping my trousers up as it is, so I'd never risk adding all that weight to them. 😆

    Nothing quite like climbing a ladder , only to look down and see your trousers still at the bottom 😂

    I'm not a proper man, I've never owned a tool belt, though I've been called a tool a few times!
