Fiesta Mk7 'handbrake'

Featured Replies

I have a query regarding the Fiesta handbrake - this afternoon when I was parking the car, I pulled up the handbrake about three to four notches and before letting go, I felt and heard some sort of noise which took me by surprise because I was not expecting it but, from memory, it sounded like the handbrake cable had somehow slipped whilst I was pulling it up, though I'm probably totally wrong.

I also think that the handbrake could do with being adjusted to make it more positive - it seems to very light and possibly needs the cable to be tightened up a bit.

Thanks, BHeart

I had handbrake problem too on new Fiesta. Car was slipping on hill when handbrake was pulled to four or five notches. They fixed it in service. But I think that now is little bit too tight. Now handbrake hold car on first notch on hill...! So I think I will need go to service back again...
