Driver Side Window Issue

Featured Replies

Hey guys and gals

I am currently experiencing an issue with my driver side window, I used to be able to pull the switch all the way up to make then window eithernfully open or fully close so you didn't have to hold the switch.

However now it doesn't do either, it opens and closes fine but you have to hold the switch, I was hoping one of you knowledgeable bunch may be able to assist me :)

As I really don't want to have to ring up ford and book it in with them

Just so you all know my car is a '10 plate fiesta zetec 3 door

Thanks in advance

Kris

cant really help you but I would just ring them and let them look at it , its under warranty afterall.

Im pretty sure it works like that for the passenger side but the drivers side should be a one press auto shut/open???

Sometimes electric windows do this if they loose the limit stops for some reason.

Try pressing and holding the switch down and keep holding it down for 5 seconds after the window is fully open, then pull and hold the switch all the way up and hold it there fo r 5 seconds after the windo is closed. Repat that again and it should re-learn where the limits of its travel are adn the one shot option should work again.

Hope that works and is of some help.

Thanks for that mate, worked a treat

I think it's the wind deflectors I have fitted that I bought from ford

I took them off to wash my car, then it stopped working

Thanks again

Kris

I've been useful!
