Mondeo Imobaliser Help!!!!

Featured Replies

hiya.

ive just brought a mondeo 2.5 v6 st24. mk1 i think, s reg.

i brought it as a non runner because the bloke tells me he somehow broke the imobaliser.

as expected the car wont start.

i done the PATS code check and got code 15!!!

B1601 15 Incorrect key code, Unprogrammed PATS key (keycode format OK). Vehicle does not start (20 second anti-scan invoked) PATS encoded ignition key

ok im not blond but thats confusing!! ive also looked up how to cure this but obviously i cannot find anything.

the bloke kindly supled me with a replacement fob and transponder but i think im rite in saying thats goina be a job for ford (anyone have a rough price for programing the new transponder??)

or could it just be a case of dodgy conections on the origanal transponder??

or dry solder as ive read about on forums??

or am i able to bypass the whole imobaliser as its realy f***ing me off now!!!!

i keep going around in circles on the net looking for an answer but im hoping that someone will be able to end that!!!

last thing if anyone is wishing to send me details on bypassing the imobaliser then please e-mail it to me [email protected] as we dont want that sort of infomation readly avalible to tom !Removed! or pikey.

cheers for any help lee

ok soooooo. no1 can help!!!

i had a motor locksmith out. he came out last week and played around with the ecu etc. he wasnt able to make a connection on his diagnostics machine to reprogram the ecu but it did tell him there was no fault codes other than 'wrong key' so he !Removed! off without fixing the car and i was £50 lighter!!! i got him back out yesterday (as he said he could try other things) but still no joy. i have 2 transponder units for the ignition barrel and 2 chips for the key. and no matter what way he tryed them he couldnt get it programmed in!!

after posting previous message ive had some bloke from irland having the same problem with his st24.

i also looked into replacing the ecu/alarm ecu/ transponder and chip (expensive!!!) but one of the people i asked on ebay said his breaking his because the same problem!!!

this doesnt seam to be an isolated problem!!! someone someware must know what the problem is!!!!

is it something only ford can fix???

is it worth putting the money into it or cutting my losses!!! (tempting)

if no joy its going on ebay!!! f**king cars!!!!!!!!
